World War II Day (DuPont WA)

ww2  History comes alive!

The Roland Weis History Lecture Series comes to DuPont!

Displays, pictures, posters, artifacts and more!

When: Saturday, October 20, 2007   
What time: 10am to 5pm
Where: Chloe Clark Elementary
Cost: Admission is FREE!

Directions:Take I-5 to Exit 118 and turn right on McNeil when you get off the highway. Turn left onto Palisade Blvd and continue past Clocktower Park and the school will then be on your right.

10am - 2pm: Veteran's Resource Fair
Presented by Veteran's Coalition of DuPont and Deputy Mayor Linda Cumberbatch

11am: Welcome by DuPont Mayor, Steve Young

: Keynote Speaker - Mr. John Lee, Director of the Washington State Department of Veteran's Affairs (WDVA)

12pm
: KCTS 9 presents "The War - WWII Stories from the Northwest" and a clip from Ken Burns new film "The War".

: Panel discussion on the Pacific Theater

2:15pm
: Panel discussion on European Theater

3:30pm
: Panel discussion on Army Air Corps

5pm
: Closing comments by Randy Leifson of Pierce College and Deputy Mayor Linda Cumberbatch
