revolution!
Hip Kid Art was born on a crisp, fall afternoon in 2006 when Hip Kid Mamma (Melissa Hall
Klepacki) looked around her modern nursery and realized it was “artless”. She
called the Art Guru (co-founder Amy Turner Senftleben) who furiously worked up some
designs. They created a website and reached out to announce the launch of something
modern, personalized, fresh and fun.
A virtual, bi-coastal company, Hip Kid Art is a new business for the new business world.
Creating art-on-demand for modern parents and
their tots, Hip Kid Art understands the taste of the modern, hip parent because
that’s who we are too. While we want our space to look fresh and modern, we
don’t want it to look like kids aren’t welcome.
We like furniture by Nurseryworks,™ bedding by Dwell,™ hi-chairs by Svan™
and the uber-cool Bugaboo.™ We’d like to think of Hip Kid Art as the adopted
sister of these companies.
Amy Turner Senftleben and her family relocated to DuPont from New York City in 2006 and
brought the Hip Kid Art business with them. She designs all of the artwork, while her
business partner manages marketing from her home in Princeton, New Jersey.
