Boot Camp® is a stroller-based fitness program designed for prenatal and postnatal women.
Our unique program provides expecting women with the opportunity to maintain an optimal,
healthy weight during their pregnancy as well as help new moms lose their extra pregnancy
weight. Because our program is stroller-based, mom has the bonus of getting into shape
while continuing a healthy bond with her child and eliminating the need of a babysitter.

Certified Personal Trainer, mother of two and founder of Baby Boot Camp, developed this
unique program to address every moms challenge of losing that extra weight gained
during pregnancy. Because Baby Boot Camp offers several different class formats varying in
level of difficulty, we have a program that works for all moms. Whether you are a new mom
getting fit for the first time or an athletic woman trying to get back to your previous
level of fitness, Baby Boot Camp has a program that is tailored to your fitness needs.
Armed with their children and strollers, moms get back in shape with Baby Boot Camp. The
55 or 75-minute workout combines highly effective interval training with targeted
strength-training exercises interspersed with cardiovascular drills to maximize weight
loss and increase muscle tone and core strength. Upper and lower body exercises are
performed utilizing resistance tubing, the stroller and moms own body weight for
resistance and balance. Each workout includes abdominal exercises, mat-based Pilates and
yoga to increase strength, core balance, stability and improved flexibility.
Additionally, Baby Boot Camp instructors train students in daily functional exercises such
as how to improve posture when feeding or carrying their child, how to safely pick up
their child, and how to push their stroller without unnecessary strain on the back.
Baby Boot Camp motivates moms to get outside with their children, improve their strength,
stamina and self-image, while providing an opportunity to meet other active moms who
strive to live a healthy lifestyle. Research shows that regular exercise can help to
alleviate postpartum depression and meeting regularly with other moms can also help reduce
the baby blues.
All Baby Boot Camp instructors are nationally certified Personal Trainers or Group
Exercise Instructors. All instructors also complete our comprehensive prenatal and
postpartum training program. Additionally, the majority of our instructors complete our
ACE approved prenatal and postpartum fitness certification, and many instructors are
recent moms themselves. Surprisingly, the company has started to attract male instructors
and franchise owners, who have been well received by program participants.
About Baby Boot Camp®
Baby Boot Camp follows the guidelines set by the American College of Obstetrics and
Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Kristen Horler, a Certified
Personal Trainer and mother of two, launched Baby Boot Camp in 2001 after she could not
find a fitness program that addressed the physical and logistical challenges of being an
active mom. Since that time, the company has expanded the program through franchising and
licensing. Now more than 300 locations in 23 states feature Baby Boot Camp classes.
